Job Description

Long hours, clean record, safe arrival every time: that is what a fuel distribution fleet in Atlantis pays for. This role rewards consistency more than flash.

Location: Atlantis, Western Cape. Applicants who already live in the area get looked at first. Most weeks are 45 hours, in line with the BCEA.

The work, day to day

Deliver to customers and get proof-of-delivery signed and stamped
Complete border paperwork at Beitbridge, Lebombo or other posts
Do a full pre-trip inspection: tyres, brakes, lights, couplings and fluids
Check the load is secured, strapped or sealed before leaving the depot
Keep the cab clean and report defects at the end of each trip

Must-haves

Clean criminal record
At least 3 years on Code 14 trucks
Valid Code 14 (EC) licence
Passport for cross-border routes

Extra points for

Knowledge of SADC border routes
Defensive driving course
Dangerous goods training certificate
