Municipal Bus Driver (City Routes)

Passengers in Worcester trust a staff transport contractor to get them there safely, and that trust is on your shoulders. Expect to be trusted with real work from your first week.

Home base is a staff transport contractor on the Worcester side of Western Cape. Shifts rotate, so you'll need to be flexible about days and nights.

• Handle breakdowns calmly and keep passengers safe until help arrives
• Follow speed limits strictly; buses are tracked
• Check passenger tickets, tags or staff cards when boarding
• Count passengers and make sure nobody stands beyond the limit
• Give tourists a friendly welcome and help with luggage on charters

• Valid Code 10 or Code 14 licence
• Clean driving and criminal record
• Patient and friendly with passengers
• At least 3 years of bus or taxi driving
• Medically fit
• Punctual for very early starts

• Experience on mine or staff transport routes
• Tour coach experience with charters
• First-aid certificate

• Paid passenger PrDP renewal
• Company uniform
• Tips and trip allowances on tour charters

• Write "PrDP P valid until" with the date, right at the top of your CV. It is the first thing a bus operator checks.
• Mention the number of passengers you have driven and the vehicle type, like "65-seater" or "22-seater midibus".
