Job Description

Long hours, clean record, safe arrival every time: that is what a cross-border transport company in eMalahleni pays for. People who do well here are steady, honest and not scared to ask when something is unclear.

You'll be based at a cross-border transport company in eMalahleni. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps.

The work, day to day

Complete border paperwork at Beitbridge, Lebombo or other posts
Drive planned routes and stop only at approved truck stops
Report breakdowns, delays and incidents to the controller immediately
Check the load is secured, strapped or sealed before leaving the depot
Check reefer temperatures and record them on cold-chain loads
Log driving hours and take the required rest breaks
Deliver to customers and get proof-of-delivery signed and stamped

What you need

At least 3 years on Code 14 trucks
Clean driving record with no serious accidents
Passport for cross-border routes
Medically fit, including eyesight

Helpful, not essential

Experience on a specific trailer type (tanker, tipper, reefer)
Defensive driving course
Clean record on a telematics driving score
