Job Description

Get off the road and into the control office at a distribution depot in Middelburg (MP). This role rewards consistency more than flash.

Location: Middelburg (MP), Mpumalanga. Applicants who already live in the area get looked at first. Start is planned for the beginning of next month.

What you'll actually do

Check driver hours so nobody drives too long without rest
Phone drivers when trucks stop too long or go off-route
Update customers on delivery times and delays
Keep a register of PrDP and licence expiry dates for all drivers
Arrange breakdown recovery and replacement vehicles
Assign trucks and drivers to routes and track them on telematics
Plan daily loads to use full truck capacity

What you need

Able to work shifts in a 24-hour control office
Calm and decisive when things go wrong
Matric
At least 2 years in transport or logistics
Good with Excel and email

Nice if you have

Experience on a vehicle telematics platform
Previous truck driving experience
Logistics or supply chain certificate
