Code 14 Interlink Driver (Cross-Border)

The road is your office with a cross-border transport company based in Bethlehem, and the load gets there because of you. You'll work with a small crew, so being easy to work with matters as much as skill.

You'll be based at a cross-border transport company in Bethlehem. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps.

• Check the load is secured, strapped or sealed before leaving the depot
• Complete border paperwork at Beitbridge, Lebombo or other posts
• Drive planned routes and stop only at approved truck stops
• Keep the logbook and tachograph or telematics records up to date
• Deliver to customers and get proof-of-delivery signed and stamped
• Check reefer temperatures and record them on cold-chain loads
• Follow hazchem rules, placards and emergency procedures on tanker loads

• Valid PrDP (G for goods, D for dangerous goods on tankers)
• Valid Code 14 (EC) licence
• Able to be away from home for several nights at a time
• Passport for cross-border routes
• Clean criminal record
• Medically fit, including eyesight

• Provident fund and medical aid option
• Paid PrDP renewal
• Well-maintained trucks with sleeper cabs

• Be honest about accidents or fines. Companies check your driving record anyway and trust drivers who tell them upfront.
• Put your licence code, PrDP expiry date and years on Code 14 in the first three lines. Transport managers scan for those first.
