Code 14 Interlink Driver (Cross-Border)

You'll move heavy loads between Sasolburg and depots across the country for a cross-border transport company. You don't need to be the loudest person in the room, just the one others can count on.

This post is Sasolburg-based, with most of your time spent at a cross-border transport company.

• Check reefer temperatures and record them on cold-chain loads
• Drive planned routes and stop only at approved truck stops
• Complete border paperwork at Beitbridge, Lebombo or other posts
• Keep the logbook and tachograph or telematics records up to date
• Do a full pre-trip inspection: tyres, brakes, lights, couplings and fluids
• Carry out fuel stops with the fuel card and keep the slips

• Passport for cross-border routes
• Medically fit, including eyesight
• Clean criminal record
• At least 3 years on Code 14 trucks
• Valid PrDP (G for goods, D for dangerous goods on tankers)

• Monthly safe-driving and fuel-saving bonus
• Paid PrDP renewal
• Well-maintained trucks with sleeper cabs
• Provident fund and medical aid option

• Expect a driving test with a real truck. Arrive rested and do your pre-trip check out loud so the assessor sees it.
• Put your licence code, PrDP expiry date and years on Code 14 in the first three lines. Transport managers scan for those first.
