Job Description

Experienced Code 14 drivers are in short supply, and a fuel distribution fleet in Durban Central is hiring. It's a practical job: you'll see what you got done before you go home.

The work is in Durban Central, KwaZulu-Natal, so you'll need a reliable way to get there every day. Start date: as soon as possible for the right person.

What you'll actually do

Keep the cab clean and report defects at the end of each trip
Carry out fuel stops with the fuel card and keep the slips
Do a full pre-trip inspection: tyres, brakes, lights, couplings and fluids
Follow hazchem rules, placards and emergency procedures on tanker loads
Deliver to customers and get proof-of-delivery signed and stamped
Log driving hours and take the required rest breaks

Must-haves

Medically fit, including eyesight
Able to be away from home for several nights at a time
Clean criminal record
Passport for cross-border routes

Nice if you have

Defensive driving course
Dangerous goods training certificate
