Collections Paralegal (Debt Recovery) – Experienced

A debt counselling firm in Fourways needs strong legal admin so the attorneys can focus on the law. It's a practical job: you'll see what you got done before you go home.

The work is in Fourways, Gauteng, so you'll need a reliable way to get there every day. Start is planned for the beginning of next month.

• Prepare section 129 notices and default judgment applications
• Diarise court dates, prescription dates and filing deadlines
• Manage the attorney's diary and book consultations
• Type and format letters, notices and affidavits from dictation or drafts
• Open new matters and do conflict checks on the practice system
• Handle incoming calls and give clients straightforward progress updates

• Understanding of court rules and deadlines
• At least 2 years in a law firm or legal department
• Organised under pressure from several attorneys
• Experience on legal software such as LegalSuite, AJS or GhostPractice

• Paralegal diploma or LLB studies in progress
• NCR debt counsellor course
• Experience with the Master's Office for estates

• Study assistance for LLB or paralegal courses
• Office hours with no weekend work
• Close-to-transport offices in city centres
