Job Description

Every person goes home in one piece. That is the job on this municipal infrastructure project in Coega. It suits someone who likes knowing exactly what a good day's work looks like.

Home base is a municipal infrastructure project on the Coega side of Eastern Cape.

What you'll actually do

Track PPE issues and replace damaged equipment
Run site inductions for every new worker and visitor
Check that fall protection plans are in place for work at height
Prepare monthly safety statistics for the client's agent
Investigate incidents and near misses and report them on time
Keep appointment letters and competency certificates in the file
Compile and maintain the site health and safety file under the Construction Regulations 2014

You'll need

Good understanding of the OHS Act and Construction Regulations 2014
Confident enough to stop unsafe work, even when the programme is tight
First Aid Level 1 at least
SACPCMP registration as a Construction Health and Safety Officer

Extra points for

Experience on renewable energy or high-rise projects
Diploma in Safety Management
