Construction Health and Safety Officer (SACPCMP)

Safety files, inspections and toolbox talks: this municipal infrastructure project in Vereeniging needs someone who can do all three well. This is a good step for someone who wants proper routine and a manager who notices good work.

You'll report in Vereeniging. Relocation is not covered for this one. Shifts rotate, so you'll need to be flexible about days and nights.

• Investigate incidents and near misses and report them on time
• Hold toolbox talks on topics that match the week's work
• Check that fall protection plans are in place for work at height
• Compile and maintain the site health and safety file under the Construction Regulations 2014
• Track PPE issues and replace damaged equipment
• Prepare monthly safety statistics for the client's agent

• SAMTRAC or an NQF-accredited health and safety qualification
• At least 2 years as a safety officer on construction sites
• You write clear reports in English
• Confident enough to stop unsafe work, even when the programme is tight

• Experience on renewable energy or high-rise projects
• Diploma in Safety Management

• Laptop and data for reporting
• Clear growth path to a construction health and safety agent role
• Travel and site allowances
• Paid SACPCMP renewal and CPD
