Cost Accountant (Food Processing Plant)

Month-end, year-end and audit prep all run through you at a logistics company in Vanderbijlpark. This is a good step for someone who wants proper routine and a manager who notices good work.

Location: Vanderbijlpark, Gauteng. Applicants who already live in the area get looked at first. Overtime comes up in peak season and is paid.

• Calculate provisional tax and check the VAT201 before submission
• Prepare monthly management accounts with variance commentary
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and clear old reconciling items
• Draft annual financial statements under IFRS or IFRS for SMEs
• Track stock costing, standard costs and production variances
• Maintain the fixed asset register and depreciation schedules

• Experience on an ERP such as Sage X3, Sage 300, Syspro or SAP Business One
• BCom Accounting or equivalent degree
• At least 3 years of post-qualification accounting experience
• You meet month-end deadlines without being chased

• CIMA qualification for management accounting posts
• CA(SA) with SAICA, or AGA(SA) or Professional Accountant (SA) with SAIPA
• Power BI or a similar BI tool

• Paid professional body membership fees
