Cost Estimator (Shopfitting)

Make sure every rand on site is counted, claimed and certified for the property development company in Welkom. It suits someone who likes knowing exactly what a good day's work looks like.

You'll report in Welkom. Relocation is not covered for this one. Start date: as soon as possible for the right person.

• Measure work on site for monthly interim payment certificates
• Value variations and prepare claims under JBCC or GCC conditions
• Take off quantities from drawings to build a bill of quantities
• Draft subcontract agreements and payment schedules
• Track budget against actual cost and flag overruns early
• Update cash flow forecasts for the project manager
• Use measuring software to do take-offs from PDF and CAD drawings

• Code 08 licence for site visits
• Strong Excel skills, including formulas and pivot tables
• At least 3 years of QS work in private practice or with a contractor
• Accurate with numbers and able to back up every figure you certify
• You know the Standard System of Measuring Building Work

• Honours degree in Quantity Surveying
• Estimating software experience on top of Excel
