Job Description

If you like people and hate long queues, this furniture retail branch in Johannesburg CBD suits you. People who do well here are steady, honest and not scared to ask when something is unclear.

Home base is a furniture retail branch on the Johannesburg CBD side of Gauteng. Start is planned for the beginning of next month.

The work, day to day

Upsell contract upgrades, accessories or cover when it fits the customer.
Update customer details and file signed forms for audit.
Log complaints and pass them to the store or branch manager.
Greet customers, find out what they need and manage the queue ticket system.
Process returns, exchanges and credit notes under the Consumer Protection Act.
Track parcels, reissue waybills and arrange redelivery at the counter.
Call customers when repairs or orders are ready to collect.

Must-haves

You can stay polite with a long queue watching
Accurate with cash and paperwork
Retail or customer service experience of at least a year
Presentable and approachable with all kinds of customers
Matric (Grade 12) certificate
Good on a computer and point-of-sale system

Helpful, not essential

RICA and cellular product knowledge
Speaking the main local language of your area
A Customer Service NQF certificate
