Customer Service Clerk (Courier Depot)

Customers bring their problems to your counter at a courier depot counter in Sandton, and leave with answers. If you like clear targets and knowing where you stand, this is for you.

This post is in Sandton (Gauteng). Please only apply if you can travel there daily. You'll start with a short induction before working on your own.

• Update customer details and file signed forms for audit.
• Book repairs and warranty claims and give customers a reference number.
• Log complaints and pass them to the store or branch manager.
• Do SIM swaps and RICA registrations with proper ID checks.
• Call customers when repairs or orders are ready to collect.
• Track parcels, reissue waybills and arrange redelivery at the counter.
• Greet customers, find out what they need and manage the queue ticket system.

• Good on a computer and point-of-sale system
• Matric (Grade 12) certificate
• Retail or customer service experience of at least a year
• You can stay polite with a long queue watching

• RICA and cellular product knowledge
• Speaking the main local language of your area
• A Customer Service NQF certificate

• Fixed roster published two weeks ahead
• Product training and certifications paid for
• Staff discount on products
• Monthly sales incentive on upgrades and add-ons

• Dress as if you already work the counter when you drop off a CV or go for the interview.
• Mention any till, cash-up or POS work on your CV; it shows you can be trusted with money.
