Customer Service Consultant (Cellular Store)

Customers bring their problems to your counter at an insurance branch in Welkom, and leave with answers. It's a practical job: you'll see what you got done before you go home.

This post is Welkom-based, with most of your time spent at an insurance branch.

• Update customer details and file signed forms for audit.
• Log complaints and pass them to the store or branch manager.
• Do SIM swaps and RICA registrations with proper ID checks.
• Greet customers, find out what they need and manage the queue ticket system.
• Track parcels, reissue waybills and arrange redelivery at the counter.

• Retail or customer service experience of at least a year
• Retail hours, including Saturdays, Sundays and month-end
• You can stay polite with a long queue watching
• Presentable and approachable with all kinds of customers
• Good on a computer and point-of-sale system
• Matric (Grade 12) certificate

• A Customer Service NQF certificate
• RICA and cellular product knowledge

• Fixed roster published two weeks ahead

• Dress as if you already work the counter when you drop off a CV or go for the interview.
• Apply close to home: stores prefer people who can reach the mall reliably for opening and closing shifts.
