Cyber Security Analyst (SOC, Shifts)

An university IT department in Mokopane needs infrastructure that just works, and someone to make it so. If you turn up on time and finish what you start, you'll fit in quickly.

Home base is an university IT department on the Mokopane side of Limpopo. Hours are mostly Monday to Friday, with the odd Saturday in busy months.

• Document network diagrams and change records
• Work with ISPs on link faults and fibre installs
• Plan hardware refreshes and licence renewals with a budget
• Run and test backups, and do regular restore drills
• Manage users, groups and conditional access in Entra ID
• Handle access requests and keep records that support POPIA compliance
• Build and maintain virtual machines on Hyper-V, VMware or Azure

• Strong Windows Server, Active Directory and Microsoft 365 skills, or Linux for Linux posts
• Solid TCP/IP, routing, switching and firewall knowledge
• Clear change management and documentation habits
• Willing to do standby and after-hours maintenance
• Scripting in PowerShell, Bash or Python

• CCNA, Fortinet NSE or MikroTik certification
• Experience with SIEM tools such as Microsoft Sentinel or Wazuh
• Infrastructure-as-code with Terraform or Ansible
