Cyber Security Analyst (SOC, Shifts)

When the network goes down at this data centre in Vanderbijlpark, you're the one who brings it back. You don't need to be the loudest person in the room, just the one others can count on.

You'll report in Vanderbijlpark. Relocation is not covered for this one. You'll start with a short induction before working on your own.

• Work with ISPs on link faults and fibre installs
• Review security logs and investigate suspicious sign-ins
• Apply monthly patches to servers and network devices
• Monitor servers, links and firewalls and act on alerts
• Build and maintain virtual machines on Hyper-V, VMware or Azure
• Document network diagrams and change records
• Configure switches, VLANs, VPNs and firewall rules

• Scripting in PowerShell, Bash or Python
• Strong Windows Server, Active Directory and Microsoft 365 skills, or Linux for Linux posts
• Degree or diploma in IT, plus relevant certifications
• Solid TCP/IP, routing, switching and firewall knowledge
• Clear change management and documentation habits
• At least 3 years in systems, network or cloud administration

• Experience with SIEM tools such as Microsoft Sentinel or Wazuh
• ISO 27001 audit experience

• Company laptop, phone and home internet allowance

• Be ready to talk through an outage you fixed, step by step; it's a common interview question.
