Desktop Support Technician (Second Line)

You'll be the person who fixes it when laptops, printers and logins break at a managed IT services provider in Tembisa. Good for someone who wants to build a solid track record they can put on their CV.

This post is in Tembisa (Gauteng). Please only apply if you can travel there daily.

• Reset passwords and unlock accounts in Active Directory and Entra ID
• Log, prioritise and update tickets on the service desk system
• Image, set up and hand over new laptops and desktops
• Install and configure printers, scanners and docking stations
• Troubleshoot Outlook, Teams and OneDrive problems for users
• Keep the asset register up to date when equipment moves

• Patient and friendly with non-technical users
• Code B driver's licence and own car for field posts
• Working knowledge of Windows 10 and 11 and Microsoft 365
• Able to log clear, complete ticket notes
• At least 1 year of help desk or desktop support (not needed for intern posts)

• CompTIA Network+ or Microsoft MD-102 certification
• ITIL Foundation
• Experience supporting point-of-sale or medical devices

• Travel allowance for field technicians
• Paid certification exams after probation
• Standby pay for after-hours cover
• Clear path to second-line and systems roles

• List your certifications right under your name; A+ and ITIL are common keyword filters.
• Be ready for a practical test on a real laptop or a phone troubleshooting role-play.
