Job Description

When the network goes down at this manufacturing group with several sites in Alberton, you're the one who brings it back. Someone who likes a bit of variety, but also likes doing things the right way, will enjoy this.

Location: Alberton, Gauteng. Applicants who already live in the area get looked at first.

What you'll actually do

Troubleshoot load-shedding related outages and UPS failures
Work with ISPs on link faults and fibre installs
Manage users, groups and conditional access in Entra ID
Configure switches, VLANs, VPNs and firewall rules
Apply monthly patches to servers and network devices

You'll need

Clear change management and documentation habits
Degree or diploma in IT, plus relevant certifications
Strong Windows Server, Active Directory and Microsoft 365 skills, or Linux for Linux posts
Willing to do standby and after-hours maintenance
Scripting in PowerShell, Bash or Python
At least 3 years in systems, network or cloud administration
