Job Description

You'll turn messy data into reports managers actually use, for a microlender in Mamelodi. This is a good step for someone who wants proper routine and a manager who notices good work.

You'll be based at a microlender in Mamelodi. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps.

What you'll actually do

Check data quality and trace odd numbers back to the source
Present findings to managers in plain language with clear charts
Mask or remove personal information in data sets under POPIA
Meet business users to turn their questions into report requirements
Build simple forecasting and segmentation models in Python or R
Automate weekly reports that used to take hours in Excel
Write SQL to pull, join and clean data from several sources

Must-haves

Degree in statistics, maths, computer science, economics or a related field
Careful with sensitive customer data
Hands-on Power BI, Tableau or a similar tool
Strong SQL, including joins, window functions and CTEs

Nice if you have

Experience with Databricks, Snowflake or Fabric
Microsoft PL-300 Power BI Data Analyst certification
Industry knowledge in retail, insurance or credit
