Job Description

Hit your collection targets at this microlender call centre in Springs and your commission shows it. This is a good step for someone who wants proper routine and a manager who notices good work.

This post is in Springs (Gauteng). Please only apply if you can travel there daily. Hours are mostly Monday to Friday, with the odd Saturday in busy months.

What you'll actually do

Report daily on rands collected, contacts made and arrangements set.
Record reasons for non-payment so the credit team can adjust policy.
Hand accounts over for legal action once internal steps are exhausted.
Update debtor contact details from tracing searches.
Track broken promises-to-pay and follow up within 48 hours.
Send written arrangements by SMS or email straight after each call.
Answer disputes about balances, interest and fees with a printed statement.

Must-haves

At least 6 months in collections, sales or a call centre
Target-driven and comfortable with commission
Matric
Registered, or willing to register, with the Council for Debt Collectors
Good with numbers, dates and payment calculations
Clear credit and criminal record

On offer

Uncapped monthly commission on collected rands
Structured weekday hours with only occasional Saturdays
Monthly incentives for the top three collectors
