Job Description

Tickets come in all day at this corporate head office in Fourways, and you close them. Expect to be trusted with real work from your first week.

The work is in Fourways, Gauteng, so you'll need a reliable way to get there every day. Overtime comes up in peak season and is paid.

What you'll actually do

Connect users remotely with a remote support tool to fix issues
Write short how-to guides for common user problems
Escalate network and server faults to second or third line with good notes
Log, prioritise and update tickets on the service desk system
Troubleshoot Outlook, Teams and OneDrive problems for users

You'll need

Patient and friendly with non-technical users
Basic networking: IP addresses, DNS, DHCP and Wi-Fi
Matric plus an IT qualification, such as CompTIA A+ or an IT diploma
Able to log clear, complete ticket notes
Code B driver's licence and own car for field posts
At least 1 year of help desk or desktop support (not needed for intern posts)

Helpful, not essential

Experience supporting point-of-sale or medical devices
CompTIA Network+ or Microsoft MD-102 certification
ITIL Foundation
