Job Description

Build the SQL, models and dashboards that run the weekly meeting at a microlender in Vereeniging. Expect to be trusted with real work from your first week.

The work is in Vereeniging, Gauteng, so you'll need a reliable way to get there every day. Start is planned for the beginning of next month.

What you'll actually do

Automate weekly reports that used to take hours in Excel
Meet business users to turn their questions into report requirements
Check data quality and trace odd numbers back to the source
Keep a data dictionary so everyone uses the same definitions
Present findings to managers in plain language with clear charts
Build and maintain Power BI dashboards and data models

What you need

Strong SQL, including joins, window functions and CTEs
Degree in statistics, maths, computer science, economics or a related field
Careful with sensitive customer data
Advanced Excel

Nice if you have

Experience with Databricks, Snowflake or Fabric
Industry knowledge in retail, insurance or credit
Python with pandas for data wrangling
