Dispatch Assistant (Building Materials) – Permanent

You'll load and offload trucks at a cement and brick yard in Epping so every delivery goes out full and correct. Expect to be trusted with real work from your first week.

You'll report in Epping. Relocation is not covered for this one. Hours are mostly Monday to Friday, with the odd Saturday in busy months.

• Ride with the driver and carry goods into customers' premises
• Assemble or place furniture where the customer asks
• Sweep the bay and clear shrink-wrap after each loading
• Stack returns and empties neatly for the next count
• Guide trucks reversing into the bay with hand signals

• Honest; you will be handling customer goods and cash-on-delivery slips
• Able to lift and carry heavy items all day
• Grade 9 or higher and able to read a delivery note
• Willing to travel on routes that return late
• Comfortable starting from 04:00 or working late loading shifts

• A Code 8 or Code 10 licence (a route to becoming a driver)
• Basic furniture assembly skills

• Help to get your own licence through the company later
• Route-completion incentives in busy months
• Meal allowance on long-route days

• If you are learning to drive, mention it. Depots like to grow assistants into drivers.
