Dispatch Assistant (Building Materials)

Strong back, sharp eyes on the load sheet: that is what a container unpacking yard in Potchefstroom wants. If you like clear targets and knowing where you stand, this is for you.

You'll report in Potchefstroom. Relocation is not covered for this one. Start is planned for the beginning of next month.

• Get proof-of-delivery notes signed and stamped at each drop
• Ride with the driver and carry goods into customers' premises
• Strap and secure loads so nothing shifts in transit
• Sweep the bay and clear shrink-wrap after each loading
• Stack returns and empties neatly for the next count
• Guide trucks reversing into the bay with hand signals

• Comfortable starting from 04:00 or working late loading shifts
• Honest; you will be handling customer goods and cash-on-delivery slips
• Friendly with customers at the door
• Able to lift and carry heavy items all day
• Willing to travel on routes that return late

• Past work as a driver's assistant
• Speaking more than one local language for customer drops
• A Code 8 or Code 10 licence (a route to becoming a driver)

• Uniform and safety shoes provided
• Help to get your own licence through the company later
• Meal allowance on long-route days
• Route-completion incentives in busy months

• If you are learning to drive, mention it. Depots like to grow assistants into drivers.
