Driver's Assistant (Parcel Routes) – Experienced

Trucks come in heavy and leave loaded at this parcel sorting hub in Pinetown, and you move the stock in between. It's a practical job: you'll see what you got done before you go home.

This post is Pinetown-based, with most of your time spent at a parcel sorting hub. You'll start with a short induction before working on your own.

• Sweep the bay and clear shrink-wrap after each loading
• Get proof-of-delivery notes signed and stamped at each drop
• Stack returns and empties neatly for the next count
• Assemble or place furniture where the customer asks
• Check goods received against the delivery note and flag shorts

• Willing to travel on routes that return late
• Able to lift and carry heavy items all day
• Grade 9 or higher and able to read a delivery note
• Comfortable starting from 04:00 or working late loading shifts
• No criminal record
• Friendly with customers at the door

• Basic furniture assembly skills
• Speaking more than one local language for customer drops
• Past work as a driver's assistant

• Uniform and safety shoes provided
• Meal allowance on long-route days
• Route-completion incentives in busy months
