Driver's Assistant (Parcel Routes) – Entry Level

You'll load and offload trucks at a container unpacking yard in Soweto so every delivery goes out full and correct. You'll work with a small crew, so being easy to work with matters as much as skill.

Home base is a container unpacking yard on the Soweto side of Gauteng.

• Offload containers by hand, counting cartons as they come off
• Assemble or place furniture where the customer asks
• Guide trucks reversing into the bay with hand signals
• Stack returns and empties neatly for the next count
• Strap and secure loads so nothing shifts in transit

• Honest; you will be handling customer goods and cash-on-delivery slips
• No criminal record
• Comfortable starting from 04:00 or working late loading shifts
• Friendly with customers at the door
• Grade 9 or higher and able to read a delivery note

• Speaking more than one local language for customer drops
• Basic furniture assembly skills
• A Code 8 or Code 10 licence (a route to becoming a driver)

• Route-completion incentives in busy months
• Uniform and safety shoes provided
• Meal allowance on long-route days
