Event Security Steward (Stadium)

You'll control who comes in and out of a private school campus in Brackenfell, and log every visitor properly. It's a practical job: you'll see what you got done before you go home.

This post is Brackenfell-based, with most of your time spent at a private school campus. The first two weeks are spent shadowing someone experienced.

• Hand out and collect contractor access cards
• Test the panic button and radio when you come on duty
• Watch for loitering, broken fencing and open doors during night patrols
• Direct traffic and parking during school drop-off or big events
• Write every incident and shift change in the occurrence book (OB)
• Check visitors' IDs and capture them on the visitor app or in the gate register

• Physically fit for foot patrols
• Able to work 12-hour day and night shifts, including weekends
• Grade 10 minimum; matric preferred
• PSIRA registration at Grade C or higher, paid up to date

• First-aid Level 1 certificate
• Previous experience at a similar site type
• Firefighting or evacuation training

• Stable long-term site contracts
• Paid night-shift allowance under the security sector rules
• Chance to be upgraded to Grade B with training

• Make sure your PSIRA fees are paid. A lapsed registration gets your CV thrown out, even if you have years of experience.
• Arrive for the interview in neat clothes with your certificates in a plastic sleeve. It shows the discipline they want.
