Factory Hand (Bottling Plant)

You'll keep the line running at an industrial bakery in Pinetown, feeding, checking and packing product all shift. It's the kind of job where doing the basics well every day gets you noticed.

You'll be based at an industrial bakery in Pinetown. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps. There's a probation period of three months before the contract is confirmed.

• Weigh ingredients or additives against the recipe card
• Move full bins and crates to the next station with a trolley
• Clean down machines and floors at the end of each run
• Change over packaging film and labels when the line switches product
• Stop the line with the emergency stop if anything jams or looks unsafe
• Wear hairnets, beard covers and gloves in food-safe zones
• Record batch codes and counts on the hourly production sheet

• Available for rotating day and night shifts
• No problem wearing full PPE, including ear protection
• Basic reading and counting for batch sheets
• Able to stand for a full shift in a noisy, warm area

• NQF Level 2 manufacturing learnership completed
• A food handler or basic HACCP awareness certificate
• Previous work in a food or FMCG factory

• Path to machine operator after six months
• Night-shift allowance on top of basic pay
• Free PPE, overalls and hairnets

• Name the products you worked on before, like "biscuit line" or "juice bottling". Factory recruiters read that faster than a job title.
• Mention that you can work rotating shifts right at the top. It is the first thing most factories filter on.
