Farm Machinery Operator (GPS Guidance)

If you know tractors, a wheat farm near George has steady work for you. If you learn fast and don't mind being shown things twice, you'll settle in within a few weeks.

• Check oil, water, tyres and grease points before starting
• Clear firebreaks and grade farm roads when needed
• Wash equipment after spraying and store chemicals safely
• Operate combine harvesters during harvest season
• Haul cane, grain or fruit bins from field to shed
• Report breakdowns and help the mechanic with repairs
• Hook up and drive ploughs, discs, planters and sprayers

• Willing to work long hours in planting and harvest seasons
• Available to live on or near the farm
• Basic understanding of implements and settings
• Can read job cards and spray instructions

• A pesticide application or spray course
• Basic mechanical skills
• Experience with GPS guidance or auto-steer
