Finance Manager (SME)

A mid-sized manufacturing group in Alberton needs an accountant who can close fast and explain the variances. If you like clear targets and knowing where you stand, this is for you.

This post is Alberton-based, with most of your time spent at a mid-sized manufacturing group. Most weeks are 45 hours, in line with the BCEA.

• Draft annual financial statements under IFRS or IFRS for SMEs
• Build budgets and rolling forecasts with department heads
• Calculate provisional tax and check the VAT201 before submission
• Run the month-end close and prepare the trial balance
• Maintain the fixed asset register and depreciation schedules

• Experience on an ERP such as Sage X3, Sage 300, Syspro or SAP Business One
• BCom Accounting or equivalent degree
• You meet month-end deadlines without being chased
• Working knowledge of IFRS or IFRS for SMEs
• Strong Excel skills, including large data sets and lookups

• CA(SA) with SAICA, or AGA(SA) or Professional Accountant (SA) with SAIPA
• Consolidation experience across several companies
