Job Description

Accuracy is everything in this primary health care clinic dispensary in Roodepoort; one checked label at a time. Bring a calm head on busy days and you'll be fine.

You'll be based at a primary health care clinic dispensary in Roodepoort. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps.

What your day looks like

Process medical aid claims and fix rejections before the patient leaves
Record cold-chain fridge temperatures twice a day
Help customers choose over-the-counter and front-shop products
Pick, count and label medicine for the pharmacist's final check
Capture scripts on the dispensing system and check them against medical aid rules

What you need

SAPC registration as a Pharmacist's Assistant (Basic or Post-Basic)
Able to work Saturdays and some Sundays on a rotation
Friendly and clear at a busy counter
Working knowledge of a dispensing system such as Unisolv, Proscript or Healthbridge-linked software
Matric with Maths or Maths Literacy
