Group Accountant (Consolidations) – Experienced

This post is Randburg-based, with most of your time spent at a national retail chain head office. Shifts rotate, so you'll need to be flexible about days and nights.

• Prepare the audit file and answer auditor queries
• Improve controls, such as segregation of duties on supplier changes
• Review creditors, debtors and payroll journals from the clerks
• Calculate provisional tax and check the VAT201 before submission
• Run the month-end close and prepare the trial balance
• Maintain the fixed asset register and depreciation schedules
• Track stock costing, standard costs and production variances

• Experience on an ERP such as Sage X3, Sage 300, Syspro or SAP Business One
• Strong Excel skills, including large data sets and lookups
• At least 3 years of post-qualification accounting experience
• Understanding of South African income tax and VAT
