Housekeeping Supervisor (Resort) – Permanent

You'll clean and set up guest rooms at a conference hotel in Alberton to a checklist standard. It's the kind of job where doing the basics well every day gets you noticed.

You'll be based at a conference hotel in Alberton. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps. You'll start with a short induction before working on your own.

• Report broken fittings, leaks and damage to maintenance.
• Vacuum, mop and dust rooms from top to bottom.
• Clean bathrooms, showers and toilets with the correct colour-coded cloths.
• Inspect rooms against the checklist before release to front office.
• Restock minibars, amenities and tea trays and note what was used.
• Mix chemicals safely and store them as the MSDS sheet shows.

• Grade 10 or higher
• Weekend and public holiday work
• You can finish around 14 rooms in a shift
• Honest and trustworthy around guest belongings
• You work neatly and notice a hair on a pillow
• Fit enough to lift mattresses and push trolleys all day

• A supervisor course or time spent running a floor
• Basic first aid certificate
• Chemical handling training

• Monthly award for best room scores
• Staff transport from nearby townships for early shifts
• Meals on duty

• Write how many rooms per shift you managed at your last job; supervisors look for that number.
• A clean, clear police clearance helps; mention it if you have a recent one.
