Housekeeping Supervisor (Resort) – Experienced

Housekeeping keeps a bush lodge in Kempton Park running quietly in the background. People who do well here are steady, honest and not scared to ask when something is unclear.

You'll be based at a bush lodge in Kempton Park. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps.

• Wash, dry and press linen and table cloths in the laundry.
• Hand in lost property with a written log entry.
• Update room status on the housekeeping app or board after each room.
• Strip beds, make them up with fresh linen and square the corners.
• Inspect rooms against the checklist before release to front office.
• Mix chemicals safely and store them as the MSDS sheet shows.
• Report broken fittings, leaks and damage to maintenance.

• You work neatly and notice a hair on a pillow
• Grade 10 or higher
• Fit enough to lift mattresses and push trolleys all day
• You can finish around 14 rooms in a shift
• Honest and trustworthy around guest belongings
• Hotel, guesthouse or domestic cleaning experience

• A supervisor course or time spent running a floor
• Basic first aid certificate
• Chemical handling training

• Staff transport from nearby townships for early shifts
• Meals on duty
• Uniform and protective gloves supplied
• Monthly award for best room scores

• Write how many rooms per shift you managed at your last job; supervisors look for that number.
