Job Description

Keeping a private hospital in Somerset West fair, legal and well staffed is the heart of this job. Bring a calm head on busy days and you'll be fine.

This post is Somerset West-based, with most of your time spent at a private hospital. Start is planned for the beginning of next month.

What you'll actually do

Represent the company at CCMA conciliations and arbitrations.
Chair or initiate disciplinary hearings and write up the outcome.
Run onboarding, contracts and probation reviews for new staff.
Advise line managers on the Labour Relations Act and the BCEA.
Compile the Employment Equity report and the Workplace Skills Plan.
Consult with shop stewards and attend union meetings.

What you need

At least 3 years as an HR officer or generalist
A degree or diploma in HR management, labour relations or industrial psychology
Good report writing and Excel
CCMA experience, at least at conciliation
