HR Business Partner (Logistics)

You'll handle the full HR cycle for an agricultural pack house in George, from hiring to hearings. Good for someone who wants to build a solid track record they can put on their CV.

This post is George-based, with most of your time spent at an agricultural pack house. The first two weeks are spent shadowing someone experienced.

• Run exit interviews and report turnover each quarter.
• Handle grievances with notes, dates and a clear written outcome.
• Track leave, absenteeism and sick notes and act on patterns.
• Update HR policies when labour law changes.
• Run onboarding, contracts and probation reviews for new staff.

• Confident facilitating hard conversations with managers and unions
• Solid working knowledge of the LRA, BCEA and EEA
• Valid driver's licence for multi-site roles
• At least 3 years as an HR officer or generalist
• A degree or diploma in HR management, labour relations or industrial psychology
• Good report writing and Excel

• Company car or travel allowance for site visits
• CPD and SABPP fees paid

• Medical aid and provident fund contributions

• Name the bargaining councils or unions you have dealt with, as sector knowledge often decides the shortlist.
• Quantify your IR work: how many hearings, CCMA cases and outcomes; that is what HR managers check first.
