Job Description

This logistics group in Boksburg needs an HR person who knows labour law and the shop floor. Good for someone who wants to build a solid track record they can put on their CV.

This post is Boksburg-based, with most of your time spent at a logistics group.

What your day looks like

  • Compile the Employment Equity report and the Workplace Skills Plan.
  • Run onboarding, contracts and probation reviews for new staff.
  • Track leave, absenteeism and sick notes and act on patterns.
  • Update HR policies when labour law changes.
  • Chair or initiate disciplinary hearings and write up the outcome.

You'll need

  • Good report writing and Excel
  • Confident facilitating hard conversations with managers and unions
  • A degree or diploma in HR management, labour relations or industrial psychology
  • At least 3 years as an HR officer or generalist
  • Valid driver's licence for multi-site roles

Extra points for

  • Experience on a unionised site or in a bargaining council sector
  • SABPP registration
