Job Description

You'll find, win and grow business clients for an industrial distributor in Alberton. People who do well here are steady, honest and not scared to ask when something is unclear.

You'll be based at an industrial distributor in Alberton. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps. Overtime comes up in peak season and is paid.

What you'll actually do

Prospect new companies by phone, LinkedIn and walk-ins in business parks.
Attend trade shows and industry breakfasts to meet buyers.
Work with operations to hand over new clients smoothly.
Chase overdue accounts with the credit department before they grow.
Negotiate contract terms, rentals and service-level agreements.
Log every lead, meeting and deal stage in the CRM.
Visit key accounts monthly and check how the service is going.

You'll need

Matric plus a sales, marketing or technical qualification
Confident with Excel, Outlook and a CRM
Resilient enough to handle long sales cycles and rejection
Solid presentation and negotiation skills
Valid driver's licence and your own reliable car

Helpful, not essential

An existing network of buyers in your sector
Tender and CSD registration experience
Salesforce, Zoho or HubSpot CRM experience
