IT Infrastructure Engineer (Hybrid Environment)

An university IT department in Krugersdorp needs infrastructure that just works, and someone to make it so. This role rewards consistency more than flash.

This post is Krugersdorp-based, with most of your time spent at an university IT department. Start date: as soon as possible for the right person.

• Document network diagrams and change records
• Review security logs and investigate suspicious sign-ins
• Monitor servers, links and firewalls and act on alerts
• Manage users, groups and conditional access in Entra ID
• Troubleshoot load-shedding related outages and UPS failures

• Scripting in PowerShell, Bash or Python
• Willing to do standby and after-hours maintenance
• Degree or diploma in IT, plus relevant certifications
• Clear change management and documentation habits
• At least 3 years in systems, network or cloud administration

• CCNA, Fortinet NSE or MikroTik certification
• Azure Administrator (AZ-104) or AWS Solutions Architect Associate
