Job Description

You'll keep servers, networks and cloud services up and secure for a manufacturing group with several sites in Pinetown. It suits someone who likes knowing exactly what a good day's work looks like.

Location: Pinetown, KwaZulu-Natal. Applicants who already live in the area get looked at first.

What you'll actually do

Document network diagrams and change records
Monitor servers, links and firewalls and act on alerts
Review security logs and investigate suspicious sign-ins
Handle access requests and keep records that support POPIA compliance
Troubleshoot load-shedding related outages and UPS failures
Manage users, groups and conditional access in Entra ID

Must-haves

Willing to do standby and after-hours maintenance
Strong Windows Server, Active Directory and Microsoft 365 skills, or Linux for Linux posts
Clear change management and documentation habits
Solid TCP/IP, routing, switching and firewall knowledge
Degree or diploma in IT, plus relevant certifications

Helpful, not essential

CCNA, Fortinet NSE or MikroTik certification
ISO 27001 audit experience
