Job Description

You'll keep servers, networks and cloud services up and secure for a financial services company in Vereeniging. Someone who likes a bit of variety, but also likes doing things the right way, will enjoy this.

You'll report in Vereeniging. Relocation is not covered for this one. Hours are mostly Monday to Friday, with the odd Saturday in busy months.

What your day looks like

Work with ISPs on link faults and fibre installs
Plan hardware refreshes and licence renewals with a budget
Troubleshoot load-shedding related outages and UPS failures
Handle access requests and keep records that support POPIA compliance
Apply monthly patches to servers and network devices
Configure switches, VLANs, VPNs and firewall rules

You'll need

Strong Windows Server, Active Directory and Microsoft 365 skills, or Linux for Linux posts
Solid TCP/IP, routing, switching and firewall knowledge
Willing to do standby and after-hours maintenance
Clear change management and documentation habits
At least 3 years in systems, network or cloud administration
Scripting in PowerShell, Bash or Python
