Job Description

A data centre in Sandton needs infrastructure that just works, and someone to make it so. Bring a calm head on busy days and you'll be fine.

Home base is a data centre on the Sandton side of Gauteng. Hours are mostly Monday to Friday, with the odd Saturday in busy months.

What your day looks like

Run and test backups, and do regular restore drills
Troubleshoot load-shedding related outages and UPS failures
Review security logs and investigate suspicious sign-ins
Configure switches, VLANs, VPNs and firewall rules
Monitor servers, links and firewalls and act on alerts

Must-haves

Strong Windows Server, Active Directory and Microsoft 365 skills, or Linux for Linux posts
Willing to do standby and after-hours maintenance
Solid TCP/IP, routing, switching and firewall knowledge
At least 3 years in systems, network or cloud administration

Extra points for

Azure Administrator (AZ-104) or AWS Solutions Architect Associate
CCNA, Fortinet NSE or MikroTik certification
