IT Manager (Mid-Sized Company)

Patch, monitor, back up and harden systems at an internet service provider in Tzaneen. Good for someone who wants to build a solid track record they can put on their CV.

The work is in Tzaneen, Limpopo, so you'll need a reliable way to get there every day. Hours are mostly Monday to Friday, with the odd Saturday in busy months.

• Build and maintain virtual machines on Hyper-V, VMware or Azure
• Work with ISPs on link faults and fibre installs
• Configure switches, VLANs, VPNs and firewall rules
• Plan hardware refreshes and licence renewals with a budget
• Document network diagrams and change records
• Monitor servers, links and firewalls and act on alerts

• Degree or diploma in IT, plus relevant certifications
• Scripting in PowerShell, Bash or Python
• Clear change management and documentation habits
• Solid TCP/IP, routing, switching and firewall knowledge
• Strong Windows Server, Active Directory and Microsoft 365 skills, or Linux for Linux posts

• Experience with SIEM tools such as Microsoft Sentinel or Wazuh
• Infrastructure-as-code with Terraform or Ansible
• ISO 27001 audit experience
