Job Description

A group of private schools in Tembisa needs a calm tech who can help frustrated users get back to work. It suits someone who likes knowing exactly what a good day's work looks like.

Location: Tembisa, Gauteng. Applicants who already live in the area get looked at first. Overtime comes up in peak season and is paid.

What you'll actually do

Image, set up and hand over new laptops and desktops
Replace faulty hardware and log warranty claims with suppliers
Reset passwords and unlock accounts in Active Directory and Entra ID
Troubleshoot Outlook, Teams and OneDrive problems for users
Install and configure printers, scanners and docking stations
Escalate network and server faults to second or third line with good notes
Log, prioritise and update tickets on the service desk system

What you need

Able to log clear, complete ticket notes
Working knowledge of Windows 10 and 11 and Microsoft 365
Matric plus an IT qualification, such as CompTIA A+ or an IT diploma
Patient and friendly with non-technical users

Nice if you have

CompTIA Network+ or Microsoft MD-102 certification
Experience with Intune or SCCM for device management
ITIL Foundation
