Job Description

Get hands-on support experience at a group of private schools in Mahikeng, from password resets to new laptop builds. If you learn fast and don't mind being shown things twice, you'll settle in within a few weeks.

You'll report in Mahikeng. Relocation is not covered for this one. You'll start with a short induction before working on your own.

The work, day to day

Keep the asset register up to date when equipment moves
Visit branches or sites to fix issues that need hands on the machine
Escalate network and server faults to second or third line with good notes
Write short how-to guides for common user problems
Install and configure printers, scanners and docking stations

You'll need

Code B driver's licence and own car for field posts
Able to log clear, complete ticket notes
Matric plus an IT qualification, such as CompTIA A+ or an IT diploma
At least 1 year of help desk or desktop support (not needed for intern posts)

Extra points for

ITIL Foundation
CompTIA Network+ or Microsoft MD-102 certification
