IT Support Technician (Field Services)

You'll be the person who fixes it when laptops, printers and logins break at a group of private schools in Polokwane. People who do well here are steady, honest and not scared to ask when something is unclear.

Home base is a group of private schools on the Polokwane side of Limpopo.

• Replace faulty hardware and log warranty claims with suppliers
• Install and configure printers, scanners and docking stations
• Log, prioritise and update tickets on the service desk system
• Connect users remotely with a remote support tool to fix issues
• Troubleshoot Outlook, Teams and OneDrive problems for users

• Patient and friendly with non-technical users
• At least 1 year of help desk or desktop support (not needed for intern posts)
• Able to log clear, complete ticket notes
• Working knowledge of Windows 10 and 11 and Microsoft 365
• Code B driver's licence and own car for field posts
• Basic networking: IP addresses, DNS, DHCP and Wi-Fi

• CompTIA Network+ or Microsoft MD-102 certification
• Experience supporting point-of-sale or medical devices

• Standby pay for after-hours cover
