Junior Draughtsperson (Engineering Office)

You'll turn engineers' sketches into accurate drawings for the civil and structural consultancy in Pinetown. Bring a calm head on busy days and you'll be fine.

Home base is a civil and structural consultancy on the Pinetown side of KwaZulu-Natal.

• Prepare electrical single line diagrams and cable routing drawings
• Take site measurements to check existing conditions
• Follow SANS 10111 drawing conventions and the office title block standard
• Draw general arrangements, details and fabrication drawings in AutoCAD or Inventor
• Model steel structures in Tekla and produce shop drawings and cutting lists
• Draft civil layouts, longitudinal sections and cross sections for services
• Produce bills of materials from 3D models

• Advanced skills in AutoCAD plus one 3D package
• Understanding of engineering drawing standards and tolerances
• At least 2 years working as a draughtsperson in your discipline
• Good time planning when several projects need drawings at once
• National Diploma or N6 in Mechanical, Civil or Electrical Engineering, or a draughting qualification

• Registration with ECSA as a Candidate Engineering Technician
• Workshop or site background
• Revit or Civil 3D experience

• Paid training on new software
• Latest CAD software licences
• Two-screen workstation
• Hybrid work once you are settled in
