Junior Software Developer (Graduate Programme)

You'll build and ship features that real users touch every day, for a fintech start-up in Brakpan. If you like clear targets and knowing where you stand, this is for you.

The site is in Brakpan; early starts mean public transport timing matters, so check your route before applying. Shifts rotate, so you'll need to be flexible about days and nights.

• Review teammates' pull requests with useful comments
• Investigate production bugs using logs and monitoring dashboards
• Pair with junior developers to unblock them
• Deploy through a CI/CD pipeline on Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions or GitLab
• Build and consume REST or GraphQL APIs
• Document how your features work for support and new developers

• A computer science or IT qualification, or a portfolio that proves you can build
• Commercial experience in at least one of PHP, C#, Java, Python or JavaScript
• Experience writing automated tests
• Stable internet and a quiet workspace for remote days
• You can explain technical choices to non-technical people
• Good SQL and understanding of relational databases

• Public GitHub portfolio or published app
• Cloud certification on AWS, Azure or Google Cloud
• Experience in regulated sectors such as banking or medical schemes
