Job Description

A software development house in Germiston needs a developer who can take a ticket from idea to production. Good for someone who wants to build a solid track record they can put on their CV.

This post is Germiston-based, with most of your time spent at a software development house.

What you'll actually do

Document how your features work for support and new developers
Deploy through a CI/CD pipeline on Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions or GitLab
Pair with junior developers to unblock them
Review teammates' pull requests with useful comments
Build and consume REST or GraphQL APIs

You'll need

Solid Git habits: branches, pull requests and meaningful commit messages
Commercial experience in at least one of PHP, C#, Java, Python or JavaScript
You can explain technical choices to non-technical people
Good SQL and understanding of relational databases
